• 1 in 4 Men in the U.S. don't even know that they are in an abusive relationship of any kind.

•  1 in 9 Men experience severe intimate partner physical violence, intimate partner sexual violence, and/or intimate partner stalking.

• 1 in 4 Men have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner

• 1 in 7 Men have been victims of severe forms of physical violence including: (e.g. beating, burning, strangling) by an intimate partner in their lifetime.

• 5.1 million Men in the United States have been stalked in their lifetime.

• 1 in 3 Men commit suicide in America not just from the trauma they endured, but also the lack of support and resources available to male victims.

    "Our culture still clings to narrow definitions of gender (although there are signs that this is slowly shifting). Young boys are taught not to express their emotions, to “suck it up” and “be a man.”

"MEN your feelings CAN hurt. You CAN be sad. MEN, You CAN be angry and NOT be seen as being aggressive. MEN, you CAN talk about how it made you feel to be abused and NOT have to feel emasculated.

  "MEN, it is OKAY to have emotions, ok to cry, and be vulnerable. It is ok to be upset. MEN, you DO NOT have to put up a strong kind of "I'm okay" front anymore.
